What I built

The repayment gateway for HSBC’s core-card platform, delivered in eight months on Java Spring Boot, Vue.js and Oracle with Jenkins pipelines. Database tuning and horizontal scaling took it from 100K to 1M transactions a day, and earned a CEO Recognition Award in 2017.

The wider role

Six years as a Software Delivery Officer running 24/7 statutory payment channels in a regulated bank, including a payment data warehouse that cut reconciliation time by 80%. It is where my reliability habits come from: a system is only as good as its worst morning.
